First back-to-back victories of the season were completed in dominating fashion
CONCORD, N.C. — June 10, 2013 — Entering this past weekend, Craig Dollansky was not having the type of season he was expecting after finishing second in the overall World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series championship last year.
What a difference a weekend makes.
Dollansky rose from sixth to fourth in the championship standings on the strength of two dominating victories at 34 Raceway and Lakeside Speedway, becoming the first driver this season to win on back-to-back nights. The wins, his first since April, helped him to shave 44 points off his deficit to points leader Daryn Pittman.
How impressive was his weekend? Here’s a look inside the numbers:
Total winnings, including contingencies: $20,400
Percentage of laps led: 96.88 percent
Number of laps led: 62 of 64
Combined margin of victory: 12.8 seconds
Average qualifying position: 9.5
Average heat race start: 1.5
Heat race finish: 1

And now on Friday night Dollansky and the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series invade Jackson Speedway in his native Minnesota where he’ll no doubt be looking to carry all his momentum in an effort collect his first Outlaw win at the semi-banked half-mile track.
On Saturday night the series returns to Knoxville Raceway for the final tune-up on the historic oval at the Marion County Fairgrounds before the famed Knoxville Nationals. Dollansky’s lone World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series main event victory at the historic track was on June 26, 2004.
