The chase for the USAC Silver Crown National Championship wrapped on Saturday with Kyle Steffens and 18 Silver Crown entries invading Lucas Oil Raceway Park (Brownsburg, Ind.) for Championship Saturday.
After clocking in 11th-fastest in Honest Abe Roofing qualifying, Steffens discovered an oil leak early into the 100-lap feature that sidelined his Performance Plus Global Logistics No. 8 entry. He was scored 14th in the final rundown.
Despite Saturday’s early exit, Kyle finished fifth in the USAC Silver Crown National Championship final point standings.
