LOXLEY, Ala. (October 22, 2024) Tread of Hoosier, a drop of NOS, a splash of Methanol, some twisted RPMs, and a checkered flag's throw.
Okay, so we are not going to conjure any scary spells, but that might make things scary fast at Deep South Speedway when the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints blow into town for Halloween Havoc on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26.
The final two rounds of the 2024 season for the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints, the chase for the series title is still undecided as Lane Whittington carries a 110-point margin into this weekend's Alabama double-header over Jake Brashier, with Evan McElhaney likewise in the hunt with 128 markers to make up.
If history holds sway in the future, things might pan out for Wittington as the series visited Deep South Speedway in May for two nights, with Whittington capturing the preliminary night win along with a runner-up performance the following night.
Each night this weekend is $2,000 to win, $350 to start, and there is an entry fee of $50 each night. Friday, October 25, includes IMCA Modifieds and Pure Stocks. Saturday, October 26, shifts classes to Factory Stocks, Street Stocks, and Modifieds.
Tickets per night are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and military, $10 for youth (8-12), and free for kids seven and under. Stands each day open at 4:00 p.m. with racing at 7:00 p.m. (CDT).

There is one night on the season following this weekend that is a non-point special event at All Tech Raceway on December 7.
