WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (October 19, 2024) If one word summarizes the weekend for Howard Moore at Riverside International Speedway, that would be passing. Taking part in the World Short Track Challenge that pitted the American Sprint Car Series against the USCS, Howard left the two-night affair with 10th and 11th place finishes.
Picking up the 10th place run on Friday, getting there involved advancing position 11 times through Heat, B, and A-Feature action. Running into issues on Saturday during his Heat Race, that set up an epic 20 position run from the C-Feature to the A-Feature.
"Saturday night, we were lined up from our point standings from Friday night with a top-four invert. I was eleventh in points giving me the third starting spot in the third heat. I slid into another car and gave myself a DNF. The crew got to work and we got the wing and wheel changed. That finish gave me the sixth starting spot for the C feature and we finished second. I proceeded to the B feature in the twelfth position and finished fifth, giving me the final spot in the A feature. I started 18th in the A feature and I finished in the 11th position. Congratulations to Derek Hagar on the checkers," said Moore of his Saturday performance on Facebook.
Moore is slated to be back at Riverside this weekend with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars.
