The annual Show Me Showdown brought Waylon Phillips and company to Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex (Sweet Springs, Mo.) this past weekend as a pair of prelims on Thursday and Friday kicked off the tripleheader event.
Coming out the gate firing, Phillips stormed into Thursday's Non-Wing Outlaw Micro prelim with a seventh-to-fourth outing in his heat race. Standing on the podium at the end of the 25-lap preliminary, Waylon posted a third-place finish.
After turning in a seventh-place finish in Friday's Community Bank Non-Wing Micro A-Main, Waylon returned on Saturday where he posted a pair of fifth-place finishes in both main events.
