Ryan Timms invaded the famed Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) over the weekend to compete in two divisions for 42nd annual 4-Crown Nationals.
In the Heffner Racing No. 27H Sprint Car for a pair of High Limit Racing events, Timms followed up 16th-place finish on Friday with a strong run on Saturday night. After sneaking into the $15,000-to-win main event with an eighth-to-fourth B-Main showing, Ryan marched through the field 13 spots in the 30-lap affair to register an 11th-place finish.
For the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget portion of the two-day event, Ryan got off to a rough start on Friday but was able to rebound on Saturday night. Starting the A-Main in 20th, Timms made an impressive charge forward as he passed 18 cars to cap off the weekend by claiming the runner-up honors.
The outing for the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma native earned him the $1,000 Rosewood Machine & Tool Precision Move of the Race award.
Timms is currently in third in the latest USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget point standings.
