Ark-La-Tex Speedweek appearance to raise money for Tornado victims

Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (June 3, 2013) The 2013 ASCS Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek looms with the kick off at the Kennedale Speedway Park on Friday, June 14 and going through Saturday, June 22 at the Lucas Oil Speedway.

Making a series debut at the Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La. on Sunday, June 16, event promoter Steven Schaberg will add a twist to the night’s program. Utilizing the available pair of Promoter’s Provisionals, Schaberg will flirt with the idea of a 26 car field in the night’s Protect the Harvest A-Feature with the Promoter’s Provisionals going on the auction block for drivers and fans alike.

All money raised will be donated to racers who were affected by the tornados that ravaged the state of Oklahoma.

Events at the Ark-La-Tex Speedway are slated to begin at 7:30 P.M. (CDT) with gates opening at 2:00 P.M. for a Fanfest and driver meet and greet. The event will be catered with all encouraged to come and enjoy.

Admission will be $20 for adults with kids 10 years and under admitted free into the Grandstands. Pit Passes are $35.
