September 12, 2024 – Bristol, WI. The Lift Pro Powered by Gandrud Chevrolet Winged 604 Sprint Car Series at the Wilmot Raceway action heated up this summer with a couple repeat winners and a new face in Victory Lane with the newly formed series.

Action resumed for the series on July 27th for a Saturday Night Thunder Night with Hebron, IL’s Ion Stear kicking of the night with a Quick Time, earning him a point for his efforts. Trevor WI’s Elle Hensley and Round Lake Heights, IL’s Greg Olsen both picked up 2 – points for their Heat Race victories. Come feature time, CJ Malueg of Johnsburg, IL picked up 3 positions to find himself in Victory Lane again earning him 3 – points for his efforts. Mr. Excitement, Tommy Sexton, of Twin Lakes, WI charged his way forward 7 – positions earning the Hard Charger Award and collecting a point for his efforts.

Candy Drop Night (August 3rd) saw the night start with another CJ Malueg Quick Time earning him his first point of the night. He would collect 2 – more points for his Heat Race Victory along with Greg Olsen. Another familiar face sat in Victory Lane at the end of the night as Tommy Sexton garnered 3 – points for his Feature win. Malueg wasn’t done earning points come Feature time as he passed 6 – cars gaining him another point for picking up the Hard Charge Award.

Opening night of the Kenosha County Fair (August 14th) once again saw Malueg earn the first point of the night as he was again Quick Time. Sexton would pick up the win in Heat Race #1 earning him 2 – points. Dan Wade of Salem Lakes, WI put himself on the board with a Heat Race #2 win awarding him 2 – points as well. The Feature saw a new winner as Burlington, WI’s Matt Vandervere found Victory Lane for the first time with the series earning him 3 – points. Greg Olsen charged forward 5 – positions in the Feature earning him 1 – point for being the night’s Hard Charger.

Lightning Sprint Championship Night (August 31st) saw Malueg pick up yet another Quick Time Award earning him the night’s initial point of the night. Zion, IL’s Brian Kristan and Ion Stear picked up Heat Race victories garnering both drivers 2 – points. A week after getting married in Victory Lane, Tommy Sexton returned to the site as the night’s Feature winner earning him another 3 – points towards the standings and Olsen also passing 5 – cars again in the Feature to earn himself another point for being the Hard Charger.

Street Stock Championship Night (September 7th) saw Greg Olsen knock Malueg of the top of Quick Time Mountain as he would lay down the fastest time on the night earning a point and then following it up with a Heat Race victory earning him an additional 2 – points. Sexton also won his heat race to tack on 2 – points to his point total in the standings. Malueg would charge forward in the feature 4 – positions with take yet another Feature victory to add 3 – more points to his lead in the points standing with Watertown, WI’s Greg Alt bringing home the night’s Hard Charger Award by passing 6 – cars in the Feature.

4 – nights remain in the Hepfner Racing Products/HRP Wings Victory Chaser Challenge Points Series for the competitors. Next up will be this Saturday night, September 14th for Track Championship Night followed by the Inaugural Wilmot Raceway Fall Classic, September 19th-21st.
