CASPER, Wyo. (September 11, 2024) Taking on Wyoming's Casper Speedway for the final time in 2024, the ASCS Northern Plains Region will put a bow on their third season of competition on Friday, September 13, and Saturday, September 14.
A stark contrast to his title fight with the ASCS Frontier Region that saw three drivers vying for the top spot this past weekend in Montana, Kelly Miller rolls into this weekend's double-header with the ASCS Northern Plains Region, presumably on easy street.
Using five wins and eight top-five finishes in nine starts to amass a 223-point advantage over Blayne Brink for the 2024 title, Miller simply needs to start the A-Feature both nights to solidify a second ASCS regional title.
Topped by Adam Speckman in 2022, the 2023 season saw Shad Petersen claiming the championship. Barring any issues for Miller, this will be his first time winning the ASCS Northern Plains title and the first time a driver has won it in conjunction with the ASCS Frontier Region.
Friday, September 13, and Saturday, September 14, open at 5:30 P.M. with cars on track for Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. (MDT). Casper Speedway is a half-mile oval located at 1277 Amoco Rd. Information on the track is online or by calling (307) 267-8475.
Eddie Kirchoff is the head of the ASCS Northern Plains Region and can be reached via email at blackhillsspeedway@gmail.com or by phone at (307) 660-8866.
The 2024 season marks the 33rd season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours encompassing Wing and Non-Wing competition.
