Last night was our first race of the season. It was also the first ASCS Northwest race of the season. (Yay for the rain last weekend at Gray's Harbor Raceway because we were not ready yet) Yesterday was Brent's 20th birthday. What better way to spend your birthday. We were starting the motor hours before the race. Talk about cutting it close. We were up till 2am the night before putting the motor in and putting the racecar together. We were the last entry last night. But we made it! Brent started on the poll in the 2nd heat. We only had last years tires so that's what we used all night. Brent finished 3rd in the heat, which was good enough to transfer to the A Main. Started 14th in the A. Finished 16th. As I always say any night you are still in one piece and you can roll your car in the trailer it's a good night. Tonight we will be racing the 2nd night of ASCS Northwest at Cottage Grove Speedway with new tires. Yay for the tire fairy!!
