Eli Holden and Brexton Busch Earn Coles County Checkers in KKM Challenge Preliminary Night One Support

Mattoon, IL. (9/5/24) Running support division competitions of Preliminary Night One in the sixth yearly Keith Kunz Motorsports Challenge presented by S2F TV at Coles County Speedway would find Brexton Busch earning the feature victory in the POWRi Restrictor division as well as Eli Holden driving to the POWRi Jr Sprint divisional win.

Establishing an unyielding field of twenty-eight entries spanning the Restrictor division, Jude Allgayer would outpace others by setting the qualifying quick time with a lap of 10.743-seconds with Ryker Toops situating the early standard of speed over twenty-four Jr Sprinters with a lap time of 11.989-seconds in the early at Coles County Speedway competitions for Preliminary Night One in support of the second Illini-State KKM Challenge.

Contending in heat racing action for the Restrictor would find Lane Seratt, Jaxon Nail, Eli Holden, and McKenna Kren each earning the victories with AJ Williams, Evan Boyd, and Levi Ballard gaining the early on-track wins in the Jr Sprint division. Semi-feature action would find Brooke Bouy victorious in Restrictor action with Easton Cambensy earning the Jr Sprint B-Feature checkers. KKM Challenge Preliminary Night One High Point Qualifiers earning the feature pole starting positions would be Eli Holden in the Restrictor and Brexton Busch in Jr Sprints.

Flashing into feature oppositions for the Jr Sprints would find a thrilling drive between Brexton Busch and Eli Holden for the top spot battle as Brexton Busch would lead the first seven laps before Eli Holden used a mid-race restart to perfection to pull away for the final thirteen revolutions and claim his third career league victory from starting in the eighth position. Brexton Busch would hold steady to finish in a close runner-up position as Keizer Kramer would place third with hard-charger Ryker Toops finishing fourth from starting thirteenth as AJ Williams rounded out the POWRi Jr Sprint top-five finishers for the Preliminary Night One support competition of the KKM Challenge at Coles County Speedway.

Speeding onto the smooth Coles County Speedway surface for the Restrictor feature would find Brexton Busch scoring the feature victory after post-race inspection with Tate Gurney second from starting sixth as Jaxon Nail finished third ahead of seventh-starting and fourth-finishing Lane Seratt and TJ Stark rounding out the top-five finishers in the Preliminary Night One of the second Illinois KKM Challenge feature event.
