Afternoon showers force series, track officials to halt plans for Friday night
ATTICA, Ohio. - May 31, 2013 - The Attica Raceway Park crew was hard at work preparing the track for Friday night's event when showers moved through the area just hours before the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series was set to compete against Ohio's best racers. With more rain on the way, series and track officials were forced to cancel Friday night's event.

The Outlaws head north on Saturday for the NAPA Auto Parts Rumble at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich. Daryn Pittman holds the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series championship lead by 178 points over five-time series champion Donny Schatz.
The Outlaws also will be in action on Wednesday night at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway to crown the AllenBooth.com Indiana State Champion. The mini-series will be decided by the top point finisher from the combined Tri-State Speedway, Lawrenceburg Speedway and Kokomo Speedway events.
