Zander LaRose continued his winning ways at Doe Run (Missouri) Raceway over the weekend, while his RS12 Motorsports teammate Harrison Robards turned in a strong effort at Coles County Speedway.
On Friday, LaRose and his team made their weekly Doe Run stop, where the young driver competed in the LO206 Restricted Box Stock class at the 1/6-mile track. He was forced to start last in the 10-lap A-Main, but vaulted to the lead on the second circuit. He grabbed his 17th feature win of the year by crossing the start-finish line 3.787 seconds ahead of Alianna Evans. Karter Bates, Maverick Beard and Presley Hall completed the top five.
The next night, “Z Man” and the No. 1Z team raced in the Junior Sprint class at the 1/8-mile Coles County Speedway in Mattoon, Illinois. LaRose finished fourth in his heat and rolled off sixth in the 15-lap feature. He moved forward one position in the race to record a fifth-place result behind A.J. Williams, Madison Meany, A.J. Barner and Colton Vogel.
Also that evening, Harrison Robards competed in the 16-car A-Class Wing program at Coles County. “Dirty Harry” raced to fifth in his heat aboard his No. 11R ride, then started ninth on the grid in the 20-lap main event. He climbed two spots in the feature to come home seventh.
