BATON ROUGE, La. (August 27, 2024) Thwarted by Mother Nature in the tour's last attempt at Baton Rouge Raceway in July, the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints will return on Saturday, August 31.
Last on track at Greenville Speedway on August 9 and 10, a total of 14 events have been contested so far, with Lane Whittington continuing to lead tour standings by 120 points over Jake Brashier. Twenty points removed from second, Evan McElhaney holds third, with Brad Bowden, who grabbed his third win of the year at Greenville holding fourth. Butch David makes up the top five.
The season's last visit to Baton Rouge, Saturday opens at 4:00 p.m. for the pits, with grandstands opening at 5:00 p.m. Hot Laps are at 6:30 p.m., and racing is at 7:00 p.m. (CDT). Other divisions on the card include Pure Stocks Rookie Limited, Modified, Young Guns, Limited Modified, Stinger, Generation Next Limited Mods, CRUSA Dirt Late Models, and Mini Wedge, CRUSA Street Stocks.
General Admission is $20 for adults, $5 for youth (7-12), and free for kids six and under. Pits are $40.
