8/23/2024 WaKeeney, Kansas (www.urssracing.com) - For the first time this season, Mother Nature and the rain have canceled the United Rebel Sprint Series scheduled stop at WaKeeney Speedway on Friday, August 23rd.
With an overnight shower parading through central Kansas last night, the entirety of WaKeeney, Kansas was hit with heavy rainfall in the early morning hours. After a long 8 day preparation for the crew at WaKeeney Speedway, the decision to call the race was finally made Friday morning around 11 AM.
The United Rebel Sprint Series will now quickly make its return the first weekend of September, as the series heads back to Nebraska for a two-night showdown. Friday, September 6th the series will be at Beatrice Speedway as Saturday, September 7th will be a first time appearance for the series at Thayer County Speedway.
