KENNEDALE, Texas (August 20, 2024) On track at Kennedale Speedway Park for the second time in 2024, the MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprint Series is set for action on Saturday, August 24.
Last visited on March 2, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. picked up his first ASCS-sanctioned win of the season. Sitting at 13 overall wins in 2024, the driver, who is currently second in ASCS National Tour standings, will head north for events in Montana this weekend.
On track this past weekend at RPM Speedway, the series saw Colby Stubblefield become the 12th different winner with the series, and the sixth first time winner in 2024.
Marcus Thomas continues to pace tour standings by 16 over Blaine Baxter. Making up two points on the championship chase, Austin Mundie made up ground as well, going from a 32-point deficit to 21. Jeff Day and Michelle Parson continue to make up the top five.
Saturday, at Kennedale Speedway Park offers up $2,000 to win, $300 to start. Gates opens at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 8:00 p.m. (CDT). Additional classes on the card include IMCA Sport Mods, Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, Eco-Mods, and Junior Limited.
Admission is $18 (ages 12 years and older), $12 for Senior and Military (With ID), $7 for Youth 6-11, and free for kids five and under. Pits are $35.
