TKS Motorsports to return to Knoxville Raceway for Season Championship Night

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (August 19, 2024) - It was a stout two days in the Land of 10,000 Lakes for Iowa’s own Kelby Watt and TKS Motorsports, joining the Greatest Show On Dirt for the annual Jackson Nationals at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota. When the dust finally settled on Saturday night, the Mitchellville, Iowa-based operation found themselves with back-to-back A-Main appearances, highlighting each of their respective starts with a 17th-place score in the $25,000 finale.

With Watt and TKS Motorsports joining forces in the few days prior to the Jackson blockbuster, their outcomes were respectable, earning their place in Saturday’s big dance via fourth-place finish during heat race competition.

“It was a solid weekend for our team, considering what little preparation we had. Regardless, Kelby did a great job with becoming acclimated with our car and we’re pleased with what he was able to do,” Troy Renfro, owner of the TKS Motorsports, Albaugh - Your Alternative, Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, AL Driveline, TJ Forged, No. 2KS sprint car, stated. “Our team’s plan is to switch our focus back to Knoxville Raceway this weekend. It’s pretty hard to believe that the season championship is already here. It’s been a great year and we hope to cap Knoxville Raceway’s schedule in a big way.”

ON DECK:
TKS Motorsports will continue their 2024 campaign with Knoxville Raceway’s season championship on Saturday, August 24.
