Wheatland, MO. (8/17/24) Contending with on-track support of ‘Summer Thunder’ at Lucas Oil Speedway, the POWRi 305 Sprint Series would witness John Barnard claiming his first feature series victory in thrilling twenty-lap action.
Starting the night in Wheatland Missouri would see Tyler Elliott and Kendall Weymuth each earning heat racing victories with Tyler Elliott attaining the high-point qualifier award.
Flying into feature green flag racing would find pole-starter Tyler Potter out-duel Randy Martin out of the first pair of corners as Tyler Elliott would shoot to the preferred position with the field calculating for spots behind the leader.
“I knew the track was going to be tricky and slick off,” said John Barnard in the Lucas Oil Speedway Victory Lane. Adding, “Once I got the lead I just had to continue hitting my marks because I knew this car was fast.”
Earning his first career victory in the POWRi 305 Sprint Division, John Barnard would outrun pole-starter and runner-up placement Tyler Elliott to capture the feature win. Speedy Randy Martin would clinch third as hard-charger Tyler Devenport finished fourth from starting thirteenth with James Turnbull rounding out the top-five finishers for the POWRi 305 Sprint Series feature event at Lucas Oil Speedway.
