Sarver, PA (August 15, 2024) One last dance remains for the drivers of our weekly Fab4 racing divisions as Championship Night takes center stage on Friday night, wrapping up points battles, and offering one more chance for drivers to earn that elusive feature win to cap off their 2024 weekly racing season. The Peoples Natural Gas Sprint Cars, Precise Racing Products Late Models, Diehl Automotive Big Block Modifieds and MIllerstown Pic-A-Part Pro Stocks will all be in action, giving fans one more night of thrilling racing before the post season slate of events begins.
Two Down, Two to Go
By virtue of taking the green flag during Friday's ULMS Late Model action, Michael Norris etched his name on the track champions list for the fourth time in his career. Norris comes into Friday night able to take a potential ninth feature win this season and has only been kept out of Terry Bowser Excavating Victory Lane just once during the 2024 season thus far. AJ Flick tied Brian Swartzlander with eight track titles with his performance last Friday night which pushed his lead over runner up Carl Bowser to over 40 points, the maximum number of points available per night during our weekly racing season. Flick started off the year strong with three feature wins in the first half of the season then stayed consistently in the top five all the way through last Friday night to seal yet another championship.
Two division battles remain undecided as Garrett Krummert brings a 26 point lead over defending champion Rex King Jr. into Friday night's racing. Krummert need only to finish clean in both heat and feature to ice a second career track title while King would need Krummert to suffer mechanical gremlins or misfortune to have a realistic chance at making it back to back titles. And in Millerstown Pic-a-Part Pro Stock action, Christian Schneider leads Chris Schneider by just 11 points. However, Christian may have the upper hand as Chris Schneider's win last Friday night will put him at the handicap line where he would start no better than 10th in the main event. Either way, Christian Schndeider will not only have to be his normal winning self and perform as he has all season but also have to be watchful of pitfalls along the way to claim his first track championship.
Pits open at 4 PM on Friday night with grandstands opening at 5 PM and racing starting at 7:30 PM. General admission is $18 while children 10 and under are admitted FREE.
