QUINCY, Mich. (August 10, 2024) On track with the Great Lakes Super Sprints before going 410 racing, Abby Hohlbein had a roller coaster weekend between I-96 Speedway and Butler Speedway.
Kicking off with GLSS at I-96, things started solid with a Heat Race win, but turned sideways during the feature event while running second after contact with a slower car.
"Friday at Hartford definitely showed the highs and lows of this sport," said Abby.
"I had a great heat race win, but it was a total heartbreak moment to be out of the feature around Lap 4 while running second. I was unable to avoid a lapped car that wrecked in front of me. However, I’m doing good, and I want to thank everyone who reached out to make sure I was okay. My racing family is truly amazing."
Getting things fixed and swapped out for Butler, the 410 night ended with everything right-side up.
"Overall, the night went decent with a 12th place finish, and it was good to get back in a car after Friday’s incident."
