Mother Nature finally settled down a little bit and Jody Rosenboom and the Jimco Motorsports team were able to get back to the track on Memorial Day at Husets Speedway. Jody was once again pulling double duty piloting the Wasmund Racing 5W 360 sprinter as well. The day started with very wet heavy conditions, but the track crew was able to get the track ready for us to race on. A front wing issue kept Jody from finishing the heat race in the 360 class giving him a last row starting spot for the feature. Jody quickly made his way into the top 10 and competed for a top 5 position before settling for an 8th place finish on the night. "The car was really good and I think we could have finished higher up, but the track was still fast and a little rough among other things and we are happy with a top 10 finish from where we started." In the 410 class Jody came out with the 4th quick time starting him in the 3rd row for the heat race in which he came home sixth and advanced to the A main. In the A, battled his way into the top 5 halfway through the race, but ended up finishing 7th in the feature. "The car was good early, but then the bottom went away and we struggled to find forward drive. It's tough cause I know we could have been a top five car." Jody's next race will be back in his hometown on Friday night racing the 360 special at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids.
