Inside Line Promotions - KENNEDALE, Texas (May 27, 2013) - Once again, rain dampened the weekend for John Binz.
He was slated to compete with his nonwing micro sprint on Friday at Kennedale Speedway Park, where he has put together a couple of career-best podium finishes. However, ominous weather cancelled the event as the teams arrived at the track.
"We got all the way to the race track and looked at our phones," he said. "They ended up calling it so we didn't hot lap."
Binz headed to watch a 305 race, which also was rained out. So his weekend mostly consisted of hanging out and watching races on TV.
"I ended up hanging out at the RC track all weekend," he said. "Then I just watched the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 yesterday."
He is scheduled to compete at Kennedale Speedway Park in a nonwing this Friday and depending on how that event goes, Binz might race on Saturday at Grayson County Speedway in Bells, Texas.
