Elma, WA -
The 4th 360 Summer Challenge Race of the season was at Grays Harbor Raceway on Coca Cola Night and Colton Heath picked up the win. Allison Johnson picked up her first Limited Sprint win at the Grays Harbor Raceway along with Landon Pruett in the Hornets.
Cam Smith and Levi Klatt front row for the 360 main and Klatt would take the lead followed closely by Smith until Smith would bike up and bounce around on the track and he would save it and come to a stop and luckily everyone would avoid him. During the caution also the leader Klatt would stop due to what was reported as a steering issues which would unfortunately end his night. The new leader Colton Heath would take off followed by Duke Johnson and Smith would come battling through the field on a long green run and on lap 20 Heath would almost lap the entire field, but the battle for 2nd to 5th in front of him was really tight and Smith in 3rd would keep battling and wouldn’t let Heath by as second place Duke Johnson would slow bringing out the caution leaving only Heath and Smith on the lead lap. Colton Heath was able to hold off Cam Smith to pickup the win, followed by Destry Miller in 3rd Jeff Dunlap in 4th, and Tim Martin in 5th. Heat race wins would go to Cam Smith and Levi Klatt, and quick time would be Cam Smith.
Allison Johnson and Chris Foster led the field to green in the 25 lap main event with Johnson taking the lead and Foster close behind. Foster was able to stay right there within striking distance until a mechanical issue would end the night on lap 13 giving 2nd to Keira Zylstra. On the restart Zylstra would stay right there but was not able to get by. The battle for third with Xan Miller and Samuel Strange was also really competitive. Allison Johnson was able to hold them off and pick up her second career win and first Grays Harbor Win, followed by Keira Zylstra, Xan Miller, Samuel Strange, and Nate Geister. The heat race win went to Chris Foster, and quick time was Xan Miller.
Austin Kerrigan and Don Briggs Sr would lead the field to green in Hornets. Kerrigan would take the lead but Sweatman would get into second and then on lap 2 he would drift high and Scott Reed would also go high and slow while Zach Dalrymple would then spin right after down the backstretch. On the restart Austin Kerrigan would resume the lead, followed by Landon Pruett who would take the lead on lap 5. Kerrigan looked to be having issues and fell back but it was smooth sailing for the very fast Pruett who picked up his first win followed by Nick Sheats, Payton Harding, Randy Goodman, and Michael Harritt Jr. Zach Dalyrmple and Scott Reed after the early issue were able to recover to 6th and 7th respectively.
