FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Apollo Beach, FL – August 8, 2024 – After a month-long break, 16 year old Bryce Comer is excited to return to the driver’s seat of the Robbie Smith-owned 6s 360 sprint car for an action-packed double header this weekend. The team will head to Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia on Friday, August 9, marking their furthest northern trek of the year. The following day, Saturday, August 10, they will make the two-hour journey south to Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia, continuing their participation in the USCS Sprint Car Series as the series makes its return to the Peach State.

Bryce is looking to improve upon his previous performance with the USCS Sprint Car Series. After a respectable 6th place finish at All-Tech Raceway on June 14, Bryce faced a setback at Needmore Speedway the following day. He unfortunately clipped the front stretch wall while contending for 2nd place which led to a cut tire and tire change relegating him to 12th place finish. Reflecting on the event, Bryce shared, “I felt terrible for the whole crew, let them all down. We had a great car and were capable of finishing up front. I just need to focus on consistent laps and being smart and patient. I think the speed will come.”

Bryce Comer Racing is thrilled to welcome Kona Ice as a sponsor for this weekend’s races and select events later this year. Their refreshing tropical shaved ice would be a welcome treat this weekend in the hot Georgia weather.

This weekend also holds special significance as Judy Coulbourne sponsors Bryce in memory of her father, Lawrence "Sonny" Coulbourne, who passed away on April 17. Sonny was one of Bryce’s biggest fans, and this tribute honors him. He will be riding with Bryce for sure.
