Vanderheiden Notches Eighth-place Finish in Belleville 305 Nationals

PAPALLION, Neb. (August 5, 2024) Cole Vanderheiden invaded Belleville High Banks (Belleville, Kan.) on Friday afternoon for the 7th Annual Belleville 305 Nationals presented by NextEra Energy.

Joining a stout field of 44 Sprinters for the opener, Vanderheiden came short of a qualifying for Friday's preliminary but did cap off his evening with a seventh-to-fourth showing in his B-Main.

Back at the half-mile Kansas oval on Saturday, Cole squeezed into the finale with an fourth-place heat finish. Starting on the seventh row, Vanderheiden charged forward five spots in the 30-lap affair to register an eighth-place finish.

Vanderheiden's extended weekend concluded with runner-up finish in the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car portion of the Front Row Challenge on Monday at Southern Oskaloosa (IA) Speedway.
