HIGH BANKS AND HIGH SPEEDS: Everything You Need to Know Going into the 7th Annual Belleville 305 Nationals presented by NextEra Energy

7/30/2024 Belleville, Kan (www.urssracing.com) - In just a few short days, the United Rebel Sprint Series presented by RacinDirt.Com will make its annual return to one of the most iconic and legendary tracks in the nation. The Belleville High Banks, deemed “The World's Fastest Half-Mile”, has been putting on auto races at the track for over 100 years.

Since the first one many years ago, legendary names have graced their talents across the high banked clay surface in the Northern uproots of the Sunflower State. Names like Parnelli Jones, A.J. Foyt, Tony Stewart, Ken Schrader, Stan Fox, Steve Kinser, Sammy Swindell, Scott Bloomquist, Billy Moyer, Kasey Kahne, J.J. Yeley and Jeff Gordon. Now with some of the best drivers in the 305 divisions, all eyes are on Belleville, Kansas this weekend.

As the running of the 7th Annual Belleville 305 Nationals presented by NextEra Energy starts on Friday, August 2nd and Saturday, August 3rd, here is everything we are watching heading into a big weekend including the drivers and storylines to watch.

JEREMY HUISH - When the decision was made final during the offseason to join the CRT, it was no doubt a brilliant move. Now with 6 wins in the 2024 URSS Tour, Jeremy Huish says he has been looking forward to this weekend all year long. “Between the two teams' knowledge, I feel like we definitely have some momentum”, Huish said.

Another driver who will operate under the Cranston racing team this weekend is also another familiar name recently at the High Banks...

KAYLEE BRYSON - The last time Kaylee Bryson was in Belleville, Kansas, it was a historical night indeed. Holding off CJ Leary in the USAC Silver Crown race to become not only the first female driver to win in any USAC division, but also the first female to ever win at the Belleville High Banks. The Muskogee, Oklahoma native says she's excited to be back, as you can definitely add her to your fantasy lineups this weekend.

STUART SNYDER - The last time Stuart Snyder was in Belleville, it was a captivating night for the Nebraska native. Grabbing his first ever win at the High Banks back in July with the Malvern Bank 360 Series, Snyder now looks to carry not only the confidence, but the momentum as well in the weekend.

2024 POINTS BATTLE - The battle for the 2024 United Rebel Sprint Series Championship has been tight for the last couple of months, with Steven Richardson sitting on the outside looking in, Jeremy Huish has been able to build a 110 point lead over Richardson. With the 3 throw away shows included though, the battle tightens up to just a +54 point advantage for Jeremy Huish over Steven Richardson.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR BATTLE - This year's battle at the Belleville High Banks will also feature some new and young upcoming talents throughout the open-wheel world. With a $300 bonus going to the top 3 performing Rookies this weekend, a couple names are looking to do more than just ‘run good’. With names like Kaylee Bryson, Cole Vanderheiden, and even Ryker Pace, this weekend is a prime opportunity for new drivers to shine on the big banks and even potentially play spoiler.

REPEAT WIINER ? - Only one driver in the history of the Belleville 305 Nationals has been able to win two years in a row, let alone the entire weekend program. Winning back-to-back nights in 2019, Jake Bubak is the only driver to complete such a stretch. Now with Jeremy Campbell returning this week in the #51, Campbell who was last year's champion, now has a chance to match Bubak in history at the High Banks by grabbing another Saturday night win.
