Bristol, WI – May 21, 2013. Bill and the B2 Motorsports raced close to home this past weekend after two consecutive weekends on the road with the Outlaws. The hauler made the hour trek up to the Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, WI for the team’s second visit of 2013 to the banked third mile oval. With all of the recent rain in the area, the track crew packed the track tight to try and maintain a smooth track throughout the night. Of the 26 Interstate Racing Association sprints on hand, Bill would be the 11th car to qualify and lay down a lap fast enough for the 2nd fastest on the night. Lining up in the 6th starting position of the 2nd heat, Bill would get a great start at the drop of the green and make his way into the 2nd position trailing behind Illinois traveler Jordan Goldesberry coming out of turn 2. Caution would fly about half way through the 10 lap race setting a single file restart. Bill would follow the yellow and blue #65 through turns 1 and 2, but would make his way around Goldesberry in turns 3 and 4 into the lead where he would check out and pick up his first heat race win of the 2013 season. With the top qualifier of Tommy Sexton not transferring through his heat race, Bill would now be the top qualifier, in which he would now draw for the feature invert. Drawing the #2 pill, Bill would line the 17B sprinter up in the 4th starting position behind front row starters Mike Kertscher and Scotty Neitzel. At the drop of the green Bill would jump into the 3rd position behind Neitzel in the 2W sprinter, but quickly made his way around him and set his sights on 80K of Kertscher. Bill would stalk Kertscher through traffic until the caution came out on lap 13. When the green came back out it was as though the 17B did not have the speed it had before the caution as Kertscher would lead the rest of the way unchallenged and Bill would finish in the 2nd position.
