Avanti Windows and Doors CEO Jerry Petty, a longtime supporter of sprint car racing, has once again shown his commitment by boosting the prize money for the upcoming 12th Avanti Windows and Doors Capitani Classic presented by Great Southern Bank. Originally set at $10,000, the winner's purse has now been increased to $13,000, with $9,000 awarded for second place and $5,000 for third. This enhancement has raised the total purse by $9,775, including higher payouts for positions 16 through 24 in the A Main, which will now pay $900 to start.
In addition to these increases, Jerry Petty has introduced a Hard Charger award worth $2,500, bringing the total purse for the event to an impressive $72,125.
The Capitani Classic, set for Sunday night August 4, has historically attracted an average of 69 cars, and this year promises another strong field as we pay tribute to former Knoxville Raceway Promoter Ralph Capitani.
