Zander LaRose and Harrison Robards represented RS12 Motorsports at three Midwestern racing facilities over the weekend. They turned in multiple strong runs with no finish worse than sixth.
On Friday, LaRose made his weekly stop at the 1/6-mile Doe Run (Missouri) Raceway where he competed in the LO206 Restricted Box Stock class. He raced from seventh to second in his heat race, with the charge putting him on the pole to start the 10-lap A-Main. He took the feature victory in his No. 1Z ride in front of Maverick Beard, Leo Touchette, Alianna Evans and Karter Bates.
The next night, LaRose traveled to Coles County Speedway in Mattoon, Illinois, to participate in the Junior Sprint class at the 1/8-mile track. “Z Man” started and finished sixth in both his heat race and 15-lap A-Main.
Meanwhile, on Friday LaRose’s teammate Harrison Robards ventured to Champaign County Speedway in Urbana, Illinois, to compete in the Outlaw Winged Micro class at the quarter-mile oval. After finishing fifth in his heat, Robards picked up one spot in the 15-lap A-Main to come home fourth in his No. 11R machine. He took the checkered flag behind Devin Feger, Jaxton Wiggs and Molly Day, with Clayton Frederick rounding out the top five.
Saturday saw Robards move to Coles County, where he raced in both the Heartland Auto Racing Tour (HART) Non-Wing Micro division and track’s A-Class Wing ranks. He nabbed third in his Non-Wing Micro heat and rolled off sixth in the 20-lap feature. “Dirty Harry” advanced one position in the race to finish fifth. He followed Parker Bupp, Nolan Bartley, Kameron Romack and Wyatt Walters across the start-finish line.
In A-Class Wing, “Dirty Harry” won his heat and started the 20-lap A-Main from the pole position. However, he faded during the race and finished sixth.
