Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (July 22, 2024) – Parity has been a theme at Huset’s Speedway throughout the season.
Thirty different drivers have been victorious during 33 total main events contested at the high-banked track. One more opportunity to add new names to the winner’s list is Sunday during The Border Battle presented by Nordstrom’s Automotive.
The event featuring the Cressman Sanitation 410 Outlaw Sprint Cars – paying $7,000 to win – the Nordstrom’s Automotive Late Model Street Stocks and the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series is the final show before Huset’s Speedway takes approximately one month off out of respect for several marquee events in the region.
Both the Cressman Sanitation 410 Outlaw Sprint Cars and the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series have had a new feature winner during all eight weekly points races this season. In fact, the only two regular drivers to repeat victories this year are Zach Olivier and Cory Yeigh in the Nordstrom’s Automotive Late Model Street Stocks.
With so much parity, consistency has been key in all three divisions.
Kaleb Johnson has built a 63-point lead in the Cressman Sanitation 410 Outlaw Sprint Cars championship standings thanks to a division-best eight top 10s. He is also tied for the most top fives with four.
Koby Werkmeister leads the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series standings by six points over Brady Donnohue. Both drivers lead the division with six top 10s.
J.J. Zebell owns a 13-point advantage in the Nordstrom’s Automotive Late Model Street Stocks standings. He has posted a division-best six top-five finishes.
The main gates open at 5 p.m. with racing scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
There will be prizes for the fans courtesy of Nordstrom’s Automotive during the night.
Adult tickets are $20 at the gate or $17 if purchased in advance. Tickets for students 13-years-old to 18-years-old are $10 at the gate or $8 in advance. Children 12-years-old and younger get in free.
