MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (July 15, 2024) - It was another productive weekend in the Upper Midwest for Chase Randall and TKS Motorsports, concluding their Minnesota and Iowa double with a pair of top-tens in three main event starts, all of which highlighted with a runner-up score at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, July 13. Activating his weekend agenda in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Randall finished eighth at the state-of-the-art Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota, on Friday, July 12; he commenced action from row six.
Randall, ace of Troy Renfro’s Albaugh - Your Alternative, Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, AL Driveline, TJ Forged, No. 2KS sprint car, earned his runner-up performance during Knoxville’s 360 main event. Climbing forward from 13th on the starting grid, Randall and TKS captured the runner-up position with a double pass with two circuits remaining. For his efforts, the “Quickest Chicken” out of Waco, Texas, earned the evening’s Hard Charger Award - all of which accomplished in a non-stop 18-lapper.
Unfortunately, Randall’s effort in Knoxville Raceway’s 410 main event was cut short, scored 21st due to mechanical failure after making contact with the inside berm.
“We’re happy with our weekend results and we’re proud of what Chase has been able to do. We probably should have been three for three in the top-ten category, but mistakes and issues happen, so we’ll put that behind us and move forward,” Troy Renfro expressed. “We have a massive week ahead. All eyes will be on Eldora Speedway and we’re excited to be a part of such an historic event.”
