After almost a month off due to rain outs, the Jamestown Speedway was back in action on Saturday, July 13th for Kids Night and the Superior Customs Red River Sprint Car Series presented by First Community Credit Union. The weather was warm and the track was in awesome condition. Thank you to the track prep crew, who worked countless hours to provide a great surface for the drivers. The track was quite racy, and there was a lot of 3 wide racing throughout every class last night. From running the wall down low to the middle groove and then, the high side like Corey Seckerson was doing in the Mods, it was a great sight to see and there were lots of options to run across the track for the drivers.
Overall, it was a great night to be back at the track for racing and in total, we had 114 cars in the pits to do battle on Saturday Night.

In addition, we were so happy to host Velocita at the track last night. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to come for the Mod Tour Night last week Saturday as weather rained us out, but they stayed a little longer and joined us last night and provided great accessories for our drivers. They also gave out very nice accessory bags to our feature winners and extra money for our hard-chargers last night.
Once again, thank you to all of the drivers, fans, sponsors, and track personnel that came out to the show on Saturday night. We really appreciate everyone's support at the Jamestown Speedway and we have to thank everyone for coming out. We hope all of the drivers had a great time and hope to see everyone back throughout the season.
Please join us next week for some more high-flying, action-packed racing on Jamestown's 1/4 mile high-bank oval. Next week Saturday, July 20th is the inaugural appearance of the Western Renegade Non-Wing Sprint Cars at the Jamestown Speedway. The wingless sprint cars will be flying around the Jamestown Speedway and it is also 1/2 priced beer night! All regular classes will be back in action as well. The grandstand gates open at 5:30 pm and racing action begins at 7:00 pm. Hope to see everyone next week Saturday for racing at the Jamestown Speedway!
