OSWEGO, NY (July 11, 2024) - The J&S Paving 350 Winged Supermodifieds have been added to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oswego and NBT Bank ‘Super Spectacle’ next Friday, July 19. The event now features a twin bill of top-wing action as the ISMA/MSS Supermodifieds are also competing for a $7,000 winner’s share in their final appearance of 2024, Challenge Race #3, which offers $1,200 to start.
The J&S Paving 350 Supers will be racing for $1,000 to win in the ‘Friday Night Lights’ Special, which sets the stage for an exciting double-header weekend, as the 350 Supers return with the Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS the next day Saturday, July 20, for Autograph Night, presented by Compass Federal Credit Union and Rock Stream Retreat.
The points race for the 350 Supers is extremely competitive, with defending champion Josh Sokolic leading with 497 points. Close behind are Talen Hawksby with 491 points, Kyle Perry with 477, rookie Griffin Miller with 474, and rookie Brendan Young with 471. The top three in points have each won at least one feature this year. Also expected to compete on Friday are Robbie Wirth, Bailey Groves, Mike Bruce, Noah Ratcliff, Barry Kingsley, and Vern LaFave, who hopes to be making his season debut with the No. 97 car. Nick Barzee, another feature winner this year, also has intentions of doing the double with his No. 31.
Oswego Speedway is off this week for the Great Lakes Classic at Berlin Raceway in Michigan, but will be back for the huge 2-day Spectacle next Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20. The event will feature the ISMA/MSS Supermodifieds Winged Challenge on Friday and Autograph Night for Oswego Novelis Supermodifieds, Pathfinder Bank SBS, and J&S Supers on Saturday, all presented by Holiday Inn Express & Suites of Oswego, NBT Bank, Compass Federal Credit Union, and Rock Stream Retreat.
