Tim Estenson and Mark Dobmeier each scored a feature event win with the ACS Roofing, Westover Masonry Midwest Sprint Touring Series powered by Cressman Sanitation as the tour teamed up with the Buffalo Wild Wings Northern Outlaw Sprint Association for a weekend of sprint car excitement. Estenson’s win was Friday at Aberdeen’s Brown County Speedway while Dobmeier bested the field at Casino Speedway in Watertown.

Estenson took over the lead on lap four of the 30 laps Brown County feature. From there, the Fargo native would rip through the field and nearly lapped into the top five. Dobmeier charged from position eleven on the grid to challenge for the lead before slipping off the top side of the speedway with just a handful of laps to go.

Weston Olson had the lead for the opening three laps before he got upside down and ended his night. Olson was trying to avoid two other tangled cars when his number 27 turned over. All drivers were unharmed.

Estenson’s victory in front of a full crowd came over Brendan Mullen, Jade Hastings, Ryan Bickett and Justin Jacobsma. Gage Pulkrabek gained eight positions in the main event to claim the Cressman Sanitation Hard Charger Award. Jacob Peterson scored the Westover Masonry random draw award and Dominic Dobesh received $100 as recipient of the A+ Towing & Repair Hard Luck Award.

Heat race winners were Nick Omdahl, Mullen and Hastings. The event was delayed for just more than an hour when rain fell on the speedway just after the conclusion of heat races.

Sunday’s event at the Casino Speedway brought 32 cars to the 0.24 mile speedway. Dobmeier was out front for all 30 laps but faced several challenges from Jade Hastings for the top spot. Hastings pulled the six pill in the Buffalo Wild Wings redraw after hitting a perfect score in his heat race – starting last and taking the win. Sam Henderson crossed the line in third followed by Laela Eisenschenk. The fourth-place finish for Eisenschenk was her best career finish in a 410 sprint car. Justin Jacobsma, who competed the previous night with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars at Cedar Lake Speedway in Wisconsin, took home a fifth-place finish.

Estenson won the B-feature and charged up to seventh in the main, earning him the Cressman Sanitation Hard Charger Award. Mullen, Dobmeier and Laela Eisenschenk joined Hastings at Heat race winners. Mullen received the A+ Towing & Repair Hard Luck Award. Ryan Bickett pocketed the Westover Masonry random draw.

The MSTS 410s are back in action next at Huset’s Speedway on Sunday, July 7.

Of note, the upcoming Thursday-Friday double header has been removed from the schedule as Rapid Speedway continues to assess damage and clean up after last week’s unprecedented flooding.
