GILLETTE, Wyo. (June 29, 2024) Making the haul from Albuquerque, N.M. to Gillette, Wyo. a worthwhile journey, Caleb Saiz landed his first career victory with the ASCS Northern Plains Region at Gillette Thunder Speedway on Saturday night.
The second time Saiz has topped an ASCS Region, his last win came with the ASCS Southwest Region at Aztec Speedway on June 10, 2022.
Moving to the front from the fourth starting spot, Saiz grabbed the lead on the opening lap and never relinquished the position in the Hal Burns Truck, RV, and Equipment No. 42 . Winning by 0.596-seconds, Wyoming's Blayne Brink crossed second with Friday night winner, Kelly Miller picking up three spots to finish third. D.J. Brink advanced eighth to fourth with Colorado's Nick Haygood in fifth.
The ASCS Northern Plains Region races again on Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20 at Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D.
