6/28/2024 North Platte, Nebraska (www.urssracing.com) - The United Rebel Sprint Series presented by RacinDirt.Com traveled to the 3/8 mile track of Lincoln Co Raceway Friday evening for Night one of the Sandhills Shootout Summer Nationals.
The feature started off with a crowd pleasing move, as Jake Martens took the front row into a three-wide moment. Taylor Velasquez and Steven Richardson attempted to defend the move coming out of turn two, but nobody had anything to match for the 17x of Jake Martens.
Leading the way all 20 laps, Martens definitely came to play this weekend. “That start was key and kind of crazy,” said Martens. “After wrecking the car at Enid, we were able to buy a chassis from Ty Williams, and now he’s definitely not getting this car back”. “I don’t think I can ever recreate a move like that again,” Martens added. With the win for Jake Martens, it also makes him the seventh different winner at Lincoln Co Raceway with the United Rebel Sprint Series since its sanctioning back in 2006.
The next race will be Saturday, June 29th at Lincoln Co Raceway to conclude the final night of the Sandhills Shootout Summer Nationals. Pits Open again at 2PM, Gates Open at 4PM and Racing to start at 7PM.
All events will be streamed live on RacingDirt.Com To subscribe to RacingDirt and access to all United Rebel Sprint Series events, archived races and content, click here: https://www.racindirt.tv/
