Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (June 25, 2024) – Tim Estenson is competing at a pair of South Dakota dirt tracks this weekend with the Midwest Sprint Touring Series 410 Sprint Cars.

Estenson will race on Friday at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen and on Saturday at Casino Speedway in Watertown. Friday will mark his debut at Brown County Speedway. Estenson last competed at Casino Speedway in September 2021, when he recorded a fourth-place result.

“We’re looking for a podium each night,” he said. “We’ve run with those guys and have had some success so I’m aiming to be in contention each night this weekend.”

Estenson only got one night of racing in last week as rain washed out the final three rounds of the four-race BillionAuto.com Huset’s High Bank Nationals presented by MENARDS at Huset’s Speedway. The only night that didn’t face weather was Wednesday, when Estenson qualified 22nd quickest in his World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series group.

“It didn’t help us that I drew a high pill and that buried us in qualifying,” he said. “We ended up right around where we went out. It was one of those deals where it’s the best of the best, too. You have to be on your game every time you hit the track. On a positive note, we turned our fastest qualifying lap at Huset’s this year.”

Estenson then placed eighth in a heat race before finishing second in the C Main to transfer into the back of the B Main. He gained a pair of positions to end 20th in the consolation race.

“In the heat race the car was good, but we were in the back of the pack and it was tough to move forward,” he said. “That put us in the C Main. We were able to move up a spot and transfer. Then we passed a couple of cars in the B Main, but that field was tough.

“We’re hungry for more and trying to find speed and get better. Right now the center off the exit of the corners is what is fighting us. We’re super close, but just need that little extra. I think we can take another step in the right direction this weekend.”
