The RS12 Motorsports crew hit a pair of tracks from Thursday through Saturday as the team participated in multiple events over the Father’s Day weekend holiday.
The action kicked off on Thursday at the 1/8-mile Coles County Speedway in Mattoon, Illinois, where RS12 driver Harrison Robards brought home a 15th-place A-Main result in the Outlaw Wing class.
The next two nights made up the Tom Rieck Memorial at Coles County, headlined by the WFO Winged Outlaw Micro Series featuring close to 40 cars. On Friday, Robards finished ninth in his WFO heat but did not start his B-Main. Additionally, he took on the Non-Wing Micro class and scored a ninth-place result in the feature.
Saturday again saw Robards compete in a pair of classes, this time with the WFO series and in A-Class Wing. His charge to the 25-lap, $5,000-to-win WFO feature ended with a sixth-place result in his B-Main, but he nabbed a 12th-place finish in the A-Class Wing main event.
Meanwhile, RS12 racer Zander LaRose competed at Doe Run, Missouri’s 1/6-mile Doe Run Raceway on Friday evening. He finished sixth in the LO206 Restricted Box Stock A-Main despite a DNF. On Saturday, LaRose took on Coles County Speedway and claimed a 13th-place result in the Junior Sprint feature.
