AMARILLO, Texas (June 8, 2024) Mother Nature may have won Friday at Route 66 Motor Speedway with the MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprints, but John Carney II and Cody Gardner got their chance to shine on Saturday.
Winning Saturday's regularly scheduled feature event, John Carney II led start to finish for the $4,000 payday. Challenged at one point by Sam Hafertepe, Jr. a failed right rear would send the No, 15h to a 17th place finish, and advance Austin Mundie to a runner-up finish. Cody Gardner, Blain Baxter, and Noah Gass completed the top five.
On to Friday's makeup feature, it would be Cody Gardner securing a $3,000 victory with an advance from fifth to first.
