Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (May 29, 2024) Part of Tulsa Expo Raceway for most of his life, and active with the Tulsa Shootout and Chili Bowl Nationals for over a decade in several roles from officiating to setup, Cody Cordell will add the role of Technical Director starting with the 2025 events.
“I’m looking forward to it. These events are special to me, and with my roles at World Racing Group, I feel it’s a good fit,” stated Cordell.
With a diverse background in Motorsports, Cordell has served as a Competition/Technical director before with the POWRi West Midgets before going back to the wrench with Cannon McIntosh.
Having traveled the World of Outlaw NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series scheduled the past few years as a crew chief to Noah Gass, the 2024 season saw a shift for Cody back into officiating as the Series/Technical Director for the American Sprint Car Series, which was acquired by World Racing Group in March.
“Having Cody in this position, I know that it will be done correctly, plus it gives teams someone they know and trust where they can ask questions and get a straight answer that is consistent with the rules,” stated Chili Bowl Director of Operations, Matt Ward.
