SAPULPA, Okla. (May 13, 2024) – Races at Creek County Speedway on Friday, May 17, and at Caney Valley Speedway on Saturday, May 18, with the American Sprint Car Series Sooner Region have been postponed.
The decision comes after working with tracks officials to allow for local drivers, who would be competing for points, and fans to attend the High School graduation ceremonies scheduled for the weekend.
“Graduation is an important moment in these kids’ lives, and we want to respect that achievement and make sure these families can be together,” said Cody Cordell, ASCS Sooner Director. “We coordinated with Kerry and Emmett to make sure everyone was good with moving the shows.”
New dates are being sought for the two tracks and will be announced once confirmed.
The 2024 season marks the 33rd season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours encompassing Wing and Non-Wing competition.
