Northwest Wingless Tour Return To CGS For Round Two

Cottage Grove, Oregon- After a week off of action the Northwest Wingless Tour is excited to get back to racing this Saturday May 4th. The second race of 2013 will take place at the venue where the first event of the season occurred for the organization back on April 20th, the Cottage Grove Speedway.
Kyle Mehner won the first race of the season leading all the laps of the season opener. Mehner will look for his second career Northwest Wingless Tour series victory. But a host of other drivers are hoping to earn the victory.
"I'm very excited to get back to Cottage Grove," commented Mehner, "the racing and competition are always good at that place."
The visit in April marked the eleventh time that the NWWT have been at Cottage Grove. Kyle Miller has a total of six wins stringed together from August 2009 until September of 2012. Kyler Barraza won the first two races in early 2009 and is the only other multi-race winner. Drivers with a single series feature triumph include Roger Crockett, Dale Smith, and now Kyle Mehner.
The Northwest Wingless Tour will head to Sunset Speedway Park on May 11th for their third race of the year. The group will go back to SSP on the 18th instead of Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington which was originally on the schedule. An additional race has been added for the series at GHR for August 24th.
In 2013 the Northwest Wingless Tour will partake in eighteen races at four different race tracks in the states of Oregon and Washington. In four seasons there have been four different champions in this organization that has started to become pretty popular among fans and drivers in the Northwest.
