Saturday night’s “Don Flanders Classic” pays tribute to one of the sport’s most ardent supporters as the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Cars roar back to life at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.
Alexander Racing teammates Damion Gardner and Nic Faas enter Saturday’s race separated by just four points in the latest standings. They have two 1-2 finishes already this season, including the last Perris race, and neither has finished worse than fourth in any race this year!
Gardner has a pair of seconds in this year’s Perris outings as he tries to protect the all-time lead in terms of Perris USAC/CRA feature wins. He enters Saturday’s race with 25 career Perris wins, one more than defending five-time series champion Mike Spencer, who has yet to win this year.
