IRA OUTLAWS INVADE OGILVIE FRIDAY
The Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series bring their 900 horsepower thunder to the Ogilvie Raceway for their first ever visit, THIS FRIDAY, May 3rd.
Teams from across the upper-Midwest have their eyes on the twin cities region as the series competes at Cedar Lake Speedway on Saturday creating a great weekend sprint car combo.
The IRA has been sanctioning outlaw sprint racing since 1966 and is basically a regional version of the World of Outlaws, which the Ogilvie fans have experienced the past few years and welcome again in June this year. Some of the very cars that run the World of Outlaw event will be racing THIS WEEKEND.
Past IRA Champions Jordan Goldesberry, Jake Blackhurst, and Scotty Neitzel will all be on hand, plus current point leader “The Big Wheel” Scotty Thiel, multi -time MSA Sprint Champs Danny Schlafer and Travis Arenz, Indiana’s Tyler Rankin, teenage phenom Logan Julien, Illinois drivers Kyle Schuett and Jake Neuman, Austin Hartmann, Kris Spitz, Tyler Brabant, Will Gerrits, and many more.
Local talent will be led by 2-time Husets Speedway Champion Australian Brooke Tatnell, plus Ryan Bowers, Luke Nellis, and more. Fargo North Dakoda’s Tim Estenson who won IRA’s season opener at Beaver Dam Raceway has indicated he’ll be on hand plus some stars of the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association as well.
Warm ups begin at 6pm, followed by Hot Laps, and Qualifying with racing slated for 7:00. Wissota Midwest Modifieds and Mod 4’s join in on the fun.
