Longdale, Oklahoma 4/20/2024 (www.urssracing.com) - The United Rebel Sprint Series presented by RacinDirt.Com concluded its double header weekend at Longdale Speedway Saturday night, with Jeremy Campbell becoming the third different winner in only the third race of the season.
With the field set after two KansasLand Tire Service heat races, Jeremy Cambell was positioned in third, right behind Koby Walters and Danny Wood. At the start of the 20 lap feature, Koby Walters succumbed to the lead after Danny Wood made a top shelf pass through turns 3 and 4.
14 laps into the race, another caution flew which brought the field back together. On the restart, Danny Wood would go to battle for a lap with Jeremy Campbell, but Campbell had the upper hand in regards to speed. Campbell crossed over Wood on the exit of turn 4 and the mirror was out the window for the 51 Mid-America Millwright machine.
“The car was super fast all night long. You could really run anywhere on the track and we noticed guys doing that throughout the feature. We passed by Velasquez there for a while, but then we went back to the top of the track and things took off for us” said Campbell.
With the win at Longdale Speedway, Jeremy Campbell picked up his second feature win with the United Rebel Sprint Series after grabbing the Belleville 305 Nationals last year. “It’s always hard running with these guys, so it’s always fun when you can come out and be fast” added Campbell. Campbell now becomes the 3rd different winner in just the first 3 races of the 2024 season.
The next scheduled race for the United Rebel Sprint Series presented by RacinDirt.Com will be Friday, April 26th at SaltCity Racing at the Hutchinson Fairgrounds.
