CANEY, Kans. (April 16, 2024) - Due to on going work to upgrade the track lighting system and repairs underway from recent storm damage Saturday’s scheduled Caney Valley Speedway season opener, featuring the REV Late Models, has been postponed.
Promoter Kerry Gorby regrets having to postpone the season opener, but feels it is necessary so the facility can be at its best for the fans and competitors.
The season will now open on May 4 with the non-wing Ortco, Inc. United Sprint League Presented by Same Day Auto Repair, AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories USRA B-Mods, Tom’s Auto Sales Factory Stocks, Smith’s Auto and Tire Pure Stocks, and Main Street Auto USRA Tuners.
A busy slate of racing is on tap following the May 4 opener. Late Models will come to Caney Valley on May 11 under the sanction of the Sooner Late Model Series. ASCS Sooner Region Sprints are scheduled for May 18 followed by the Enduro Summer Madness on May 19.
The biggest race in Caney Valley Speedway history is set for June 1 when the Comp Cam Late Model series and the REV Late Models battle in a $10,000-to-win main event.
