KNOXVILLE, Iowa (April 23, 2013) – Knoxville Raceway announces that FVP, a premier auto parts consumer brand, will be the title sponsor of the 53rd Knoxville Nationals held August 7-10, 2013. Knoxville Raceway has had a long-standing relationship with Factory Motor Parts and has partnered with their other brands in the past, including Super Clean and Splash. FVP offers a full range of b high quality batteries, filters, radiators, engine oils and automotive performance chemicals.

The Knoxville Nationals draws more than 80,000 spectators and 110 drivers during the four-day competition, making it the largest and most prestigious sprint car events in the world. Sprint cars are often considered one of the most challenging cars to drive on an oval track. Stripped down to weigh no less than 1,425 pounds with driver, over 900 horsepower and wings to keep them on the ground – these rockets sprint into the turns at breakneck speed coming in low and sliding up high in front of their closest competitor. Drivers from around the globe will compete for a $1,000,000 purse and the coveted title of Knoxville Nationals Champion.
