Ryan Timms hopped behind the wheel of the Keith Kunz Motorsports No. 67 Midget on Friday to compete in the Xtreme Outlaw Series portion of the Illini 100 weekend at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.).
Drawing 25 cars for the event co-sanctioned with the POWRi National Midget Series, Timms stormed into the opener with a fourth-to-first showing in his heat race. Charging from the second row to the front again, Ryan overtook Kale Drake on the 10th circuit and paced the remaining 15 laps to secure his fourth win of the season. He bagged the $4,000 payday ahead of Ashton Torgerson and Chase McDermand.
On Saturday, Ryan backed up a third-place finish in his heat race with an 11th-to-3rd run in the 30-lap finale.
The weekend concluded with Timms and the team trekking overnight to break out his CitGard Engine Oil / driveWFX.com No. 5T Sprinter at RPM Speedway (Crandall, Texas) for the High Limit Sprint Car Series sanctioned contest. Starting the $12,000-to-win A-Main in 21st via consolation victory, Ryan passed 11 cars in the 35-lap affair to finish 11th.
