CONCORD, N.C. (April 17, 2024): Another ASCS Sooner Region regular will move to the National Tour in 2024, as Oklahoma’s Hank Davis joins the rapidly expanding Rookie of the Year class with the American Sprint Car Series.
Why the change?
“The competition,” Davis answered. “Plus, getting to race different tracks and get some experience for some possible 410 racing in the future.”
Bringing over a decade of racing experience into his rookie season, the native of Sand Springs, Okla., is well known across Oklahoma for his success in Micros, Midgets, and Sprint Cars. However, he jumped onto everyone’s radar in 2023 when he captured his first career Chili Bowl Preliminary Night win in thrilling fashion for Matt Seymour Racing.
Kicking off the 2024 season with a fifth-place finish in Tulsa’s 55-lap finale, Hank has been on track seven times so far in Midget and Sprint Car competition, with a ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints win coming at North Alabama Speedway in April, along with four top-fives and a top-10 finish in each outing.
This season, he’s trying to soak up as much experience as he can.
“We want to race as much as possible and hopefully win against the best,” Davis said.
