CONCORD, N.C. (April 18, 2024) After showing strong improvements in his sophomore season, Tennessee’s Landon Britt is ready for a third act with the American Sprint Car Series National Tour.
The 26-year-old will try to chase his first title behind the wheel of his familiar Schure Built Suspension/ARCO Building and Design powered No. 10.
“Running with the National Tour these past two years has been a real eye-opener,” Britt said. “Seeing the dedication it takes, and the mental stability you have to have to compete with the top guys is nothing but top tier, especially with us being a family-operated team of mostly just my dad and I turning wrenches all week and at the track.”
Britt started in karting in 2007, then moved to Sprint Cars in 2019. After gaining experience with the United Sprint Car Series (USCS), earning two wins in 2021, Britt made his rookie run with the American Sprint Car Series in 2022.
He accomplished his biggest goal to date by winning a National Tour event last season in thrilling fashion when he edged out Jason Martin by 0.021 seconds at Arrowhead Speedway.
“To get my first National Tour win last year was a big confidence booster for the whole team,” Britt said. “Especially having to race for it and not start on the pole and run away with it. I showed that what we're doing is working and that my skills as a driver are leveling up.”
Bringing in nine top-five and 20 top-10 finishes over the past two seasons to accompany his win, the focus in 2024 is to expand and use what they’ve learned.
“The goal for this year is just take what we've learned and expand that to become a team people recognize when we pull in the gate,” he said. “We're also wanting to expand our marketing and PR as well.”
